Free Blog TemplateCopywriting is a skill that has been utilized for decades. Creating colorful content that is motivating, informative, and designed to sell, traditional copywriters work in the media of print, radio or even television. Today that age old skill has been revamped. Online website copywriting is a true subset of copywriting. A talented online copywriter has different skills and techniques from the more traditional copywriters. They are used to not only sell products but to attract potential clients on or to a website. Having the proper copywriting skills is critical for creating successful online copy.

Search Engine Marketing is an industry that rose with the popularity of commerce on the internet. It was not until internet sales began to meet or exceed brick and mortar sales; however, that many companies realized just how vital search engine marketing had become in order to remain competitive in a global market.

Small businesses may have been the first to capitalize on the use of search engine marketing. Because of the low overheard an internet business has in relation to a physical establishment, small businesses adapted to the internet quickly by marketing their products online. Large, well established businesses lagged behind, and focused their large marketing budgets on television and print advertisements that were offering diminished returns as the internet became a viable means of conducting business. If you have been considering optimizing your website to increase your visibility and traffic, the first step is a careful review of the analytical data. SEO analysis sounds a lot more complicated than it really is. In fact, by breaking it down into a few easy to understand tasks, most people can come to a better understanding of who visit their site, what they do once they get there and even how they found them.

Blog TemplatesWetland delineation in permafrost soils presents a unique challange. Right now I am in Interior Alaska, northeast of Fairbanks conducting a wetland delineation in black spruce (picea mariana) forests underlain by permafrost. One of the trickiest parts of deciphering the wetland soil features is understanding the seasonal timing in relation to the permafrost depth. When I visited this site in mid-May, the seasonal frost was still at 8 "below the surface. Now we are running into season frost and / or permafrost at 16" or so. Any surface water must flow over this frozen soil, as it cannot infiltrate into the frozen soil. In many cases, the water is perched such that reduction of iron occurs, resulting in redox features. In other situations, perched water may have reduced the iron in the soil earlier in the season, but the thaw depth has deepened. In these situations, relic redox features may be present: blurred remnats of wetland indicators. To complicate matters, many of the soils have deep organic horizons (8-15 ") but often are not saturated or lack the low chroma mineral horizon required to meet a wetland soil indicator.

Today I dug about 16 holes, some full pits for description and some just to take a peak at what was going on. We were on steep mountain slopes, shin-deep in moss, and trying to delineate a wetland boundary. Luckily, the mosquitos were not that bad, and after a mid-morning down-pour, the day was a rather plesant 65 degrees. I debated in my head (round and round) about what exactly constitutes saturation, how a 16 "organic horizon may or may not be a Histosol, and if it is worth sharpening my shovel in the morning when I am just going to bang it on rocks and pound through permafrost all day. My crew and I are staying at a rustic, but wonderful lodge and spirits are high going in to day five of this field excursion. Tomorrow we hope to nearly finish our work (we are going to be fast ! strong! efficient!) before heading home in two days. I'm sure tomorrow will have its fair share of challenging soils and difficult decisions to keep the work exciting. Ah, diggin 'life!
